1,317,657 Meters OF MARINE BARRIERS AND COUNTING Live LIVE

The ocean has an
infrastructure problem.

Traditional mooring systems were designed for function, not coexistence. Steel chain drags. Concrete smothers.

Seabed damage
Partial solutions
Rising ESG pressure
Traditional steel chain moorings rest and drag along the seabed, damaging coral and seagrass habitats – and can break loose entirely. Most eco-products solve one part: a reef unit, or a mooring system. Not both together. Not at scale. Developers, ports and governments increasingly need environmental performance they can actually report on.
Coral and seagrass don't bounce back in seasons. Where chain drag scours a seabed, recovery – if it happens at all – takes decades. Every mooring cycle compounds what came before. Dumped reef structures create habitat, but they're passive. They serve no infrastructure function. Elastic or synthetic mooring lines reduce seabed contact, but add nothing to the ecosystem. Until now, nobody has built a system that does both. Traditional mooring systems generate no biodiversity data, because they create none. As ESG reporting requirements tighten, the absence of measurable environmental performance stops being an oversight and starts being a liability.

One provider. End to end.

Ecoreef is not just a reef product. It is a complete marine infrastructure system.

Ecoreef

Ecoreef

Replaces the concrete block anchor. Eco-engineered for habitat, coral communities and juvenile fish shelter.

Ecomoor

Ecomoor

Replaces steel chain. Neutrally buoyant, zero seabed contact, minimal abrasion.

The surface structure.

"One provider, from seabed to surface. Not additional infrastructure. Not dumped material.
The mooring system your project needs, redesigned to create habitat while it works."

Every buoy, pontoon and mooring structure is an opportunity.
Wherever a marine asset sits on the surface, Ecoreef can be building habitat beneath it.

From infrastructure to ecosystem.

Purpose

Born inside the company in 2023, the UAE Year of Sustainability. Not a product bolt-on – a philosophy.

Proof

Real data, field results, testimonials and whitepapers. Not just renderings.

Production

UAE and UK manufacturing. Not a concept. Ready to deploy.

Meet the Team
Behind Ecoreef

Three years of research. Academic collaboration. Real-world deployment. The team behind Ecoreef brings together marine ecology, marine engineering, sustainability science and operational expertise – supported by a dedicated cohort of research and field interns whose data collection work underpins the evidence behind every claim we make. Together, they exist to prove that grey infrastructure can go green.
