ECOCOAST OFFERS CUSTOMISED SOLUTIONS TO SOLVE MARINE CHALLENGES

Find out why Ecocoast offers customised solutions to solve marine challenges on the projects its teams work on

When it comes to the marine projects industry, customisation is more than just a trend. In fact, it should be considered as an essential aspect of any project. As any project manager in the world can tell you, no two projects are the same. They each have their own idiosyncrasies and unique challenges. Therefore, you need customised solutions to resolve marine challenges.

At Ecocoast, we encounter this on almost every single project we work on. Marine projects are becoming increasingly ambitious and challenging. There has been a huge spike for high-strength, specifically engineered marine barriers that are fit-for-purpose.

Clients are realising that they need materials that can perform in different conditions and environments, no matter the circumstances, and that a ‘one size fits all’ solution will only lead to more problems down the line. This changing attitude towards customisation also seems to be fuelled by an increased awareness about environment degradation, as well as new environmental regulations around the world. Furthermore, the advent of new purposes and requirements, requires new and customised high-strength marine barriers that can help preserve and protect the natural ocean environment.

This is why we believe in offering a full suite of customisation for our products. We have designed and engineered these customisations to allow them to be incorporated across a range of scenarios, while still being able to withstand a variety of environmental conditions, including waves, currents and tides. We regularly work with our clients to custom design and manufacture products that best suit their needs, budgets and timeframes.

Environmental data for the site allows us to offer clients the best available technical solution, as we need to make sure that our products will be fully functional and operational under those environmental conditions, and as per the client’s requirements.

We can also customise the barrier accessories so as to help clients with installation and logistics. We have plenty of examples where ‘designing as per the book’ would have led to a long installation or removal times, thus generating extra time and cost.

This goes against Ecocoast’s ethos, which is why we strive to come up with practical solutions that will enable us to execute the client’s job in the most efficient way. Our objective is to make customisation the norm, and for it to become a standard and efficient part of the design and manufacturing process, saving time and money, while delivering a high-performance product.

In order to make this possible, we have invested in bespoke technology, such as our in-house software – Marineforce that helps calculate recommended anchor weight and spacing for marine barriers, taking into consideration environmental forces; our automated, custom-built cutting equipment and lean manufacturing process.
