FAQS

Ecocoast offers a comprehensive range of marine Aids to Navigation (AtoN), including navigation buoys, marine lanterns, and mooring systems. These solutions are suitable for use in inshore, nearshore, coastal, and offshore environments, with models designed for varying tidal flows and wave conditions.

Ecobarrier and GISMAN Navigation Buoys ensure safe and reliable navigation by providing exceptional visibility, durability, and compliance with IALA guidelines. Their modular design, customizable options, and compatibility with advanced monitoring systems make them ideal for diverse marine applications.

Ecocoast’s AtoN products are made from UV-stabilized virgin polyethylene, ensuring long-term durability and resistance to harsh environmental conditions. GISMAN buoys also feature expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam filling for added buoyancy. Technologies include self-contained LED lanterns , monitoring systems, and the proprietary Moorforce calculator for mooring force assessments.

Yes, all buoys can be customized with molded-in graphics, warning signage, branding, IALA-compliant colors, and site-specific features such as solar panels, radar reflectors, and monitoring equipment.

The buoys are engineered using high-visibility colors and GISMAN marine lanterns with visibility ranges from 1 to 30 nautical miles. They are built to withstand strong tidal flows and extended wave exposure, ensuring performance in demanding environments.

Ecocoast’s AtoN products are designed to be highly adaptable, with support for a wide range of additional features and integrated systems. These include water quality monitoring (WQM), vessel monitoring systems, and GISMAN marine lanterns for enhanced visibility. For mooring flexibility, Ecomoor Mooring Lines and Ecoreef Mooring Blocks can be incorporated, along with alternative anchoring systems. Additional accessories such as marker poles and GISMAN A2NGO connectivity further enhance functionality, making the buoys suitable for complex navigation and monitoring requirements.

GISMAN buoys stand out due to their modular design, durable materials, and innovative technology. They are made from pre-compounded materials to reduce color fading, foam-filled for enhanced buoyancy, and suitable for all marine zones—from inshore to offshore—withstanding strong tidal currents and extreme wave conditions.

FAQS

Hyperion Marine Lanterns: Up to 6 NM
GISMAN Marine Lanterns : Up to 8 NM
Actual range may vary with flash pattern and local atmospheric conditions.

Both Hyperion and GISMAN lanterns carry a standard two-year warranty against manufacturing defects and component failures. For full terms, conditions, or information on extended warranty options, please refer to the product datasheet or contact Ecocoast’s technical team.

Fog: Below 1 NM visibility, lantern range may drop under 0.5 NM.
Rain: Moderate rain reduces visibility to 2–4 NM; heavy downpours can decrease it further, though it rarely drops below 1 NM unless combined with mist.
Haze/Mist: Limits range to 1–5 km by reducing contrast.

Ecocoast’s high-efficiency LEDs and premium solar modules help keep the beam sharp even in poor weather.

Solar module: Made from the highest-grade silicon for peak efficiency.
Enclosure: IP68-rated for full dust-tight and waterproof protection.

Hyperion (HL-range: HL-1, HL-3, HL-5): Ideal for nearshore and temporary-works demarcation, up to 6 NM.
GISMAN (GSC-range: GSC-3–GSC-8): Built for inshore through offshore use, including severe weather and high waves, up to 8 NM, with optional A2NGO monitoring.

All Ecocoast lanterns are fully solar-powered, using a high-grade silicon solar module to charge internal batteries. This self-contained design means no external wiring or power supply is needed.
