Most mooring systems are designed to hold. We designed ours to heal. On World Oceans Day, we’re going underwater to prove it.

For three years, we’ve been quietly developing something that changes the way we think about marine infrastructure. Ecoreef is an eco-engineered mooring block that doesn’t just sit on the seabed. It creates marine habitats and builds coral ecosystems while doing its job.

Combined with Ecomoor, our neutrally buoyant mooring line, it replaces traditional concrete blocks and steel chains entirely. No seabed contact. No drag. No damage. Just infrastructure that actively gives back to the ocean.

“What if the infrastructure holding your buoy, your pontoon, your floating installation was actively building marine habitats while doing its job? That’s not a what if anymore.”

We call it greening grey infrastructure. And we believe we’re the first in the world doing this end to end. Patent pending.

Meet the marine scientist behind it

Ph.D. in Marine Science · Biology Professor & Marine Ecology Researcher · American University of Sharjah

Dr. Aaron has been part of the Ecoreef R&D journey from the beginning and will be present at the launch dive to share his insights on the marine biology and ecology behind what you’ll see underwater.
