1,145,000 Meters OF MARINE BARRIERS AND COUNTING Live LIVE

For the second year in a row, we have been selected as one of the finalists in the annual Gulf Capital SME Awards, a recognition program honouring the success, innovation and growth of entrepreneurs, business leaders and small businesses in the UAE. Out of thousands of entries, we were selected by an esteemed panel of judges in two categories: Business Innovation of the Year Award and Sustainable Business of the Year Award. Our Business Innovation of the Year entry focused on the screen we designed and manufactured for The Ocean Cleanup‘s marine barrier system, to support their mission of removing plastic waste from our oceans. Our R&D and engineering expertise informed the development of this groundbreaking screen. And the latter – the Sustainable Business of the Year Award entry – was related to Al Hamra Marina where we installed 70 UHMW-PE sleeves to protect and extend the lifespan of marine piles. By promoting the use of UHMW-PE marine pile sleeves, the focus goes to seeking ways to repair and protect rather than replace, which is not only vital to sustainable development, but also economic growth. Organised by MEED, the prestigious awards program is supported by endorsing partners Dubai SME and the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development. The full list of finalists is available online at https://bit.ly/2v4mUg0. The winners will be announced on 26 September 2018 at Ritz Carlton DIFC, Dubai. Fingers crossed we win at the awards night!
